PAYPAL RESOLUTIONS POLICY...BEWARE DON'T GET SCAMMED!!!

Recently I was the victim of a Paypal scam from eBay member lexis901. This is how lexis901 did it in full detail. I listed a Rolex on Ebay and it was purchased for the sum of $1,400.00. Lexis901 paid through Paypal. They asked that I send it through USPS. I did so, with insurance and delivery confirmation. Lexis901 received the watch, called me to say they loved it and would I leave positive feedback as they were doing so right then. That is part of the scam, they get you to leave them positive feedback and that way when Ebay investigates they see you left positive feedback. Sure enough they left me a glowing review of the watch, but 2 weeks after they received the watch I got an email from Paypal informing me they were reversing charges to the customer. I called Paypal and asked what was going on. They refused to even talk to me concerning the matter, so I got the police involved. Turns out the customer reported they had not received the Rolex from me and unless I could provide proof of insurance and a signature from the buyer, to paypal, it was an automatic refund to the customer, no questions asked. I did have the insurance slip avaliable, but I had only sent the watch with delivery confirmation, not signature confirmation. So even though the seller left a positive on Ebay and there was delivery confirmation to the address of the buyer, Paypal reversed charges and I lost $1,400.00. I tried contacting the buyer and got nothing. My local police department also contacted the local police in Biloxi, Mississippi and they would not help. This person continues to buy on Ebay. I received several emails from other sellers about them doing the same to them, but Ebay will do nothing. So make sure if you deal with paypal to send a signature confirmation 100% of the time or it is an automatic reversal of funds if the buyer so chooses. I found websites that detail this very scam and serve as a way for buyers to scam Ebay sellers. Don't let this happen to you!

UPDATE:

After my guide and numerous fowards to Ebay from other sellers they finally removed this person from Ebay, but I never did get any resolution from paypal. So I urge all sellers to make sure that you get a signature confirmation. Delivery confirmation is not enough and paypal will reverse the charges automaticly! GOOD LUCK TO EVERY ONE!
