Buying Pampered Chef on , Risky Business??

I'd like to start off with saying that I am not a consultant and I do not sell Pampered Chef on e-bay. (I can't part with all of the stuff I bought!) I'm just another shopper as yourself and after reading the previous reviews on this subject, I decided to give my 2 cents worth.

I have purchased PC products both through PamperedChef.com and . From personal experience, I can say that PC has a great return policy. They shipped me the wrong item, I contacted them through their 1-800 #, Fed-ex picked up the item for return the very next day, (no charge to me) and they shipped my new item free of charge. I never had to return anything because of breakage/defect. So I can't say how smoothly that will go but I do believe if the occassion arose that PC would be right on top of things and take care of it.

Now, I also buy a lot of stoneware on e-bay. Mostly because of price. You can get some great deals out there. I, like a previous reviewer suggested, always check feedback and return policy. Shipping prices are high on e-bay but if you're like me, you always take that into consideration when placing your highest bid. And the bottom line.... it's still a lot cheaper than PC. When interested in a PC product, I go to the PC web sight, check out their price, add tax, & shipping to get my total. Then, I search e-bay & take into consideration all of the risks. (no warranty on the product, could break during shipment, item may me misrepresented) Then I decide on the highest price (s/h included) that I would be willing to pay. (most of the time there's no tax on )

Pampered Chef makes wonderful products and they are constantly discontinuing items and introducing new ones. Shopping on e-bay gives you the opportunity to buy all of the wonderful items that are no longer available from Pampered Chef. However, I agree with the previous reviewers. It floors me that some PC products sell for so much more on e-bay than if they were purchased through a consultant. My theory is that people get caught up in a bidding battle and are determined to win that auction regardless of the cost. :)

I have purchased 20 PC items on just in the past year...From small kitchen gadgets to stoneware. I have been pleased with each and everyone of them! Only one PC item was defective. (not the seller's fault. It was brand new & sealed) The seller was very kind and gave me a partial refund... slightly more than half of what I paid for it. I lost $7.00. I didn't let that stop me from buying on e-bay. Simply because I take into consideration ALL of the wonderful things I bought over the years and at GREAT BARGAIN prices. Add them all up and I saved hundreds of dollars!

You can't go wrong buying Pampered Chef products. You're not only purchasing great quality kitchen tools but they hold their value. If for some reason you decide to sell your PC products, they will sell. Don't let anyone scare you from purchasing PC products on . My shopping experiences have been very pleasant. Just be a wise shopper and weigh the pros and cons.
